On a short-yardage play this past Sunday, Leonard Fournette took a pitch and before he could reach the line of scrimmage he was met by four New York Jets defenders.
With nowhere to go, Fournette was dropped for a four-yard loss on the third-and-1 play that came on the Jaguars’ opening drive of the third quarter.
Although Fournette gained 86 yards on 24 carries in the 23-20 overtime loss to the Jets, he hasn’t had much luck on third-down plays and neither have the Jaguars.
