TE Thomas adapting to new role as a mentor for Jaguars

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- The Jacksonville Jaguars opened up owner Shad Kahn's wallet this offseason and arguably its biggest acquisition was former Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas. In the early stages of organized team activities, Thomas has shownsigns the investment may pay off big time.

The pass catcher has played well in the first two practices and seems to have started to form a lethal connection with quarterback Blake Bortles. Being on a young team, Thomas is dealing with a complete role reversal from his time in Denver. He use to defer to more experienced players in the past but now he's the veteran on his new squad.
