The civil lawsuit filed Thursday against Jameis Winston won’t impact the Tampa Bay draft plans, the Tampa Tribune has reported.
The Tribune did not identify the Tampa Bay officials who said the lawsuit wouldn't affect their draft plans.
It is uncertain if this means the Bucs will take Winston with the first pick in the draft and the Tribune did not quote any Bucs' officials.
The Bucs have worked out both Winston and Marcus Mariota and haven’t said which quarterback they will take so their current draft plans are unknown.
Bucs general manager Jason Licht has told Sports Illustrated the team has "exhaustively'' investigated Winston's background while interviewing more than 75 people.
