JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — While the center position has been one of the most prominent topics of Jacksonville Jaguars training camp thus far, only Stefen Wisniewski and Luke Bowanko have received the notoriety because of their starting battle.
Second year lineman Tyler Shatley is listed as the third center on the depth chart and he has seemingly gone about his business without any attention.
However, Shatley has played well during his second training camp and particularly stood out during Saturday's scrimmage, which was a pleasant surprise given the offensive line's struggles on the night.
Shatley understands his position job is provide depth for the interior of the line and to be a utility asset on special teams.
