Ryan Davis, Jordan Tripp, Rashod Hill among Jaguars' initial cuts

The Jaguars’ usual day-after-the-final-preseason-game flurry of roster moves didn’t materialize Friday as general manager Dave Caldwell and Co. elected to wait closer to Saturday’s 4 p.m. deadline to announce a 53-man roster.

But through league sources and players’ social media accounts, at least six players have been informed of their status. The Jaguars did not file any transactions with the league office.

u25a0 Outside linebacker Ryan Davis, one of five Jaguars players to pre-date the Caldwell administration, announced his release on Twitter. Davis originally made the team in 2012 as an undrafted free agent and had 11 sacks and one interception 38 games.
