Running game never breaks out for Jaguars

The game against the San Diego Chargers Sunday was considered to be a chance for Jaguars rookie running back T.J. Yeldon Sunday to have a breakout game.

The Chargers had lost six in a row with a defense that ranked 26th against the run and was prone to giving up big plays.

Yet Yeldon turned out to be a non-factor in the Jaguars’ 31-25 loss at EverBank Field. He carried just nine times for 36 yards.

Denard Robinson had three carries for 23 yards, so the running backs had just 12 carries in the game.

Yeldon had a 21-yard run, but his other eight runs gained only 15 yards.
