Report: Jaguars to add defensive lineman Malik Jackson tomorrow

The Jaguars promised to bolster their defensive line in free agency and that is expected to deliver Malik Jackson to Jacksonville when the signing period opens Wednesday at 4 p.m.

9News in Denver reported that the Jaguars and Jackson’s agent, Jack Scharf, negotiated terms of the deal Monday to make Jackson one of the league’s highest paid defensive linemen.

Jackson told ESPN he’s joining the Jaguars.

Jackson figures to be the most expensive free-agent addition since general manager Dave Caldwell took over the Jaguars in January 2013.

Jackson is likely to play the three-technique defensive tackle position (lined up between the guard and tackle) and split time with Sen’Derrick Marks.
