The Jaguars have extended middle linebacker Paul Posluszny's contract for one year, according to FOX Sports' Alex Marvez.
The extension would take Posluszny through the 2017 season. Posluszny signed a six-year, $45-million contract with the Jaguars in 2011 after playing his first four years with Buffalo.
The extension would likely bring Posluszny's salary-cap figure down, although the Jaguars already have ample space. His original contract called for a salary-cap figure of $9.5 million in 2015.
The 30-year-old Posluszny has started 99 games in his eight-year career, making 1,063 tackles with 12 sacks and 11 interceptions. He played in seven games last season before injuring his pectoral muscle.
