Report: Former Jaguars WR Ace Sanders suspended for 10 games

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Ace Sanders has been suspended by the NFL for the first 10 games of the upcoming season, according to ESPN's Field Yates.

Sanders was released by the Jaguars last month, following two seasons with the franchise.

Several Jaguars players told First Coast News that they were surprised by the move when it happened, but they clearly were unaware of the impending suspension.

Sanders missed the first four games of last season after violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. While Yates did not report whether or not Sander's suspension was substance abuse related, the 10-game slate would be the next phase in the program.
