Release the Cowser: Defensive end making noise at East-West Shrine Game

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — It's been well-documented that the Jacksonville Jaguars need help in the pass rushing department and a small school defensive end may be able to provide them some relief.

After watching Southern Utah's James Cowser work on Monday, Jaguars scouts were likely licking their lips.

The long-haired pass rusher set records in the Big Sky conference and was a tackle-for-loss machine at Southern Utah. At 6-foot-4 and 258 pounds, Cowser finished his college career with 40.5 sacks and 68.5 tackles for loss.

The Fruit Heights, Utah native started off practices where he finished his college career.
