Jaguars coach Gus Bradley had a three-word farewell message for his players as they began their summer vacation: Protect the team.
The idea is to avoid any off-the-field problems before they return in late July for the start of training camp.
“Protect the team was the big message,’’ he said Thursday when the team ended its mandatory three-day mini-camp with an abbreviated session.
“”Make good decisions, great decisions,’’ he said. “Their decisions not only affect our team, but our organization, so rule number one is to protect the team. That was a big part of it.
