Since signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2011, Paul Posluszny has been one of the most steady and consistent middle linebackers in the entire NFL. His 2014 campaign was the first time he missed significant time with the Jaguars, but the team has faith he can come back and play at a reasonable level moving forward. So much so in fact, that the team restructured his contract with the inclusion of a 1-year extension.
Posluszny was due to have a pretty sizable cap hit in 2015 ($7.45 million base salary with a $9.5 million cap hit), and this deal is likely going to lower his cap hit over the next 3 years.
