When the Jaguars’ offensive line simulated a run-blocking drill Monday morning during their opening organized team activity workout, Luke Joeckel was at his usual starting left tackle spot.
But what will Joeckel’s role be Sept. 11 against Green Bay? For the first time in his NFL career, Joeckel is not guaranteed a first-team position.
Kelvin Beachum was signed in March and is the presumptive left tackle, making Joeckel a backup. Beachum is out until early August with a knee injury.
If Beachum starts, Joeckel will need to learn another position to justify him being kept on the roster.
