NFLPA wins arbitration case to boost salary cap

The NFL Players Association has won an arbitration case that it says will raise the salary cap about $1.5 million for each team according to the Wall Street Journal.

Although the NFL has not yet announced the official salary cap number, it had been estimated to go up $12 million this year to $155 million.

Now it is likely to go up to $156.5 million, which is likely to lead to a lot of spending by the 32 teams in free agency.

The players are going to get the extra money either because the league made a mistake in its calculations or tried to deliberately keep the money from the players.
