This year’s free agency class is the old story of supply and demand.
With the salary cap jumping about $12 million to a record $155.27 million, teams have more money to enable them to sign their own players. And nine players got franchise tags and a few more will likely re-sign with their old teams before the start of free agency next week.
Here’s a look at one player that each team should try to sign:
AFC EAST
Buffalo: OLB Derrick Johnson (Kansas City). Johnson is a second-tier player who won’t command a big salary because he’s 33, but would add needed depth.
