During a league meeting in New York this morning, NFL owners approved a proposal to extend the ability to play regular season games internationally through 2025 and in other countries besides the United Kingdom.
The current NFL-UK agreement runs through the 2016 season.
The most natural spot to host a game next year is Mexico.
The Jaguars’ four-year agreement play to one home game a year at Wembley Stadium also runs through 2016 and owner Shad Khan said last month he is interested in signing a long-term extension.
The 2016 schedule of international regular season games will be announced later this fall.
