Tennessee and Cleveland picked up a bunch of prime picks by trading down before the NFL Draft. They didn’t do much with them.
Here’s what I hated about both their respective “strategies” in the first few rounds of the draft.
TITANS
The haul: Michigan State OT Jack Conklin (No. 8); Clemson DE Kevin Dodd (33); Penn State DT Austin Johnson (43); Alabama RB Derrick Henry (45); Middle Tennessee State S Kevin Byard (64).
Why it’s horrible: The Titans gave up their 2017 second-round pick to move back up seven spots to take Conklin.
