New Jaguars cornerback Prince Amukamara embracing fresh start

The Jaguars are hoping cornerback Prince Amukamara in 2016 is like defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks in 2013 – flourishes on a one-year deal and re-signs before hitting the market.

Amukamara’s key is making it through a whole season. Foot, ankle, biceps and chest injuries forced him to miss 22 games in five years for the Giants.

“The knock one me was never my ability, it was my durability,” Amukamara said Saturday during a media conference call. “Jacksonville is going to be a fresh start. I wouldn’t say this year is about trying to prove myself, it’s about trying to be a part of something great.
