Maurice Jones-Drew to retire as a Jacksonville Jaguar

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- Running back Maurice Jones-Drew is finishing his career where it started.

The 60th overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft will sign a one-day contract to retire with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to the team.

A press conference for Jones-Drew will take place 11 a.m. at EverBank Field on Tuesday, April 28.

Jones-Drew came into the NFL as a 2nd round pick of the Jaguars and set franchise records for the team in several categories, including the single-season record for rushing yards in 2011. Affectionately called "MJD" by fans, Jones-Drew led the league in rushing in 2011, went to three Pro Bowls and was voted a three-time All-Pro during his eight-year stint with the Jaguars.
