The former Jaguars running back had the same magnetic smile, bubbling personality and fierce determination to follow the beat of his own drummer that were his trademarks.
“I don’t know what to say,” he said, “It’s crazy. Nine years flew by.”
He signed a one-day contract to retire as a Jaguar after spending his final season with Oakland.
With his wife, mother and three children watching, he said, “It’s over with.”
He left a lot of memories behind as he makes plans for a broadcast career.
