Even before the Jacksonville Jaguars took the field for the 2018 season, they had lost one of their leaders. Marqise Lee suffered a knee injury against the Atlanta Falcons in a meaningless preseason game that cost him the season and a chance to shine as the team’s top wide receiver.
Without Lee on the field and in the locker room, the Jaguars wide receivers didn’t have their vocal leader, their veteran. While the problems with the passing game were a combination of things that hope to be corrected in 2019, having Lee there with his teammates may have made a modicum of difference.
