Manning retires (for the night) after Q&A session

During a 32-minute speech and 20-minute question-and-answer session at the Times-Union Center on Wednesday night, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning didn’t announce his retirement.

But before an adoring audience that included a handful of people in No. 18 Broncos jerseys, Manning displayed equal parts wit and insight, story-telling prowess and big-picture perspective.

Manning was in Jacksonville as a part of the Florida Forum Speaker Series benefiting Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
