Luck of the draw: Jaguars seem to catch all the tough breaks

Every NFL team goes through various periods of adversity, but the Jaguars must be wondering if there’s some kind of black cloud hanging over this franchise.

Seriously, who loses their top draft pick in the first hour of the first rookie minicamp practice for an entire season due to a non-contact injury? Come on, that’s a Halley’s comet type of thing.

Dante Fowler, the No. 3 overall draft pick just eight days ago, sustained a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee at practice Friday and will miss the entire 2015 season. It’s a huge blow for a team that was pointing to Year 3 of the Gus Bradley-Dave Caldwell regime as the start of a franchise turnaround.
