Leonard Fournette goes 4th overall in draft to Jaguars

  • The Jacksonville Jaguars selected ex-LSU running back Leonard Fournette with their first-round pick in the NFL draft Thursday, fourth overall.
  • Although he did not have such a strong season in 2016, Fournette’s overall grade of 96.1 in 2015 is the highest earned by a running back over the past three years.
  • While he ranked low with an average of 2.84 yards after contact in 2016, he averaged 3.65 yards after contact in 2015, 18th in college football that year.
  • He broke 95 tackles in 2015, which is the second-most by a running back in a single season over the past three years.
