Latest George Kittle update just gave Jaguars massive break vs. 49ers

It's never pleasant to see NFL players get hurt. But injuries are an inherent part of the sport, and teams must be prepared for them. That's the case of the San Francisco 49ers, who will miss tight end George Kittle for their Week 4 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Niners announced that they've placed Kittle on Injured Reserve after sustaining a hamstring injury against the Seattle Seahawks in the season opener.

Any time a player lands on IR once the season has started, he must at least miss four games. Based on the rules, the earliest Kittle can return to the 49ers is Week 6, so he's guaranteed to sit out the Jaguars game.
