JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- It's been nearly a month since 18-year-old Khameyea Jennings passed away. On Wednesday, her mother and sister attended Jaguars practice and presented a gift to Sen'Derrick Marks in front of his teammates and coaches.
In April, Marks visited Jennings at Wolfson Children's Hospital to ask her to her prom. A few days later, they attended the prom together.
Sen'Derrick received a lot of publicity for his kindness, but he says that's not why he gave Khameyea and her family a night to remember.
"I didn't like (the publicity) at first because I thought it would take away from how genuine it really was," Marks said.
