Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas has not been cleared to play Sunday at Tampa Bay, but today in practice will catch passes with his surgically-repaired right hand.
Thomas, who was injured Aug. 14 and had surgery Sept. 1, did two weeks of limited work on a side field and then limited work that involved running routes in team drills (but no catches) last week.
Asked if playing the Buccaneers is a possibility, Thomas said: “I don’t know. I’m still limited. I’m definitely going to be able to do all of the things I want to do. I don’t know if [playing] is going to be an option yet.
