Jordan Tripp passes his first test filling in for Paul Posluszny

Middle linebacker Jordan Tripp got good reviews from coach Gus Bradley for his performance Sunday against Indianapolis while filling in for Paul Posluszny.

In his first NFL start, Tripp played all 72 defensive snaps and the run defense held up as Frank Gore had just 60 yards in 16 carries. Tripp had four tackles.

Bradley said they had early issues with the calls and getting players lined up, “but it was for a very, very short period of time. Maybe a couple of plays. One or two plays here and there.’

“So I thought how he managed the huddle, how he directed traffic, how he took ownership of it and how he handled it, I just thought he did a really, really good job under the conditions he went into,’’ Bradley said.
