The Tampa Bay Bucs have already named rookie Jameis Winston their starter for the upcoming season, but that doesn’t mean he’s immune from making rookie mistakes.
The former Florida State star threw three interceptions on his first five throws in Monday’s 11 on 11 drills according to tampabay.com.
His first two throws were intercepted by D.J. Swearinger and Leonard Johnson and after two completions, his fifth pass was then intercepted by Sterling Moore.
Winston then settled down and improved in the rest of the drill.
Coach Lovie Smith brushed off the mistakes, saying, “Our goal is to get Jameis ready.
