Jaguars receiver Allen Robinson was politically correct today in the locker room when asked about being a Pro Bowl first alternate and not on the original roster despite 13 touchdown catches that are tied for the NFL lead.
“I’ve said the whole time that’s how things play out,” Robinson said. “That wasn’t my main focus this year. It’s really an honor to be an alternate and in that category.
“A lot of people said I should have gotten in, but this is how it played out.”
Robinson needs one of the eight receivers to drop out of the game (injury or because they’re playing in the Super Bowl) to make the trip to Hawaii.
