While many teammates are making trips home or starting vacations to begin their offseason, Jaguars wide receiver Allen Hurns plans to undergo surgery to repair a sports hernia next week in Philadelphia.
His expected recovery time is six-to-eight weeks.
“I’m actually looking forward to getting the surgery,” he said. “It’s been very tough for me. … It’s been a long season. Fighting through that, it’s been a lot to deal with. But at the end of the day, I was out there with my teammates.”
The injury persisted for much of the season and caused Hurns to make multiple medical visits in Philadelphia, but it didn’t slow him on the field.
