Jaguars will play home opener vs. Titans in Jacksonville, donate 5,000 tickets to community

The Jacksonville Jaguars confirmed on Tuesday that the team’s home opener against the Tennessee Titans will be played Sunday at 1 pm at EverBank Field, as scheduled.

The team and owner Shad Khan will also make a $1 million donation to Florida’s First Coast Relief Fund as well as give away 5,000 tickets to first responders and members of the community affected by Hurricane Irma.

The Jaguars will distribute a portion of the allotment to organizations representing first responders, volunteers, and organizations like the Jacksonville Fire & Rescue, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, JEA, Beaches Electric, American Red Cross, Salvation Army, United Way, Florida National Guard, and similar organizations.
