JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The promotion of long-time Gus Bradley confidant Todd Wash from defensive line coach to defensive coordinator will bring change to a unit he's been a key cog in for the last three seasons.
Through his personality and individual perspective, Wash plans to find new ways to put his players in places to make big plays. With three new coaching hires being made, the Jaguars are already adding new elements to their heavily-scrutinized unit.
"There's going to be a [new] mentality to our defense," said Wash at his introductory press conference. "I think it's going to be a situation where we're going to play with great toughness, great effort and we're going to play with discipline.
