Jaguars waive LB Reynolds, promote WR Washington from practice squad

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars made a move on Saturday to improve the team's depth at wide receiver prior to Week 3's matchup against the New England Patriots.

The team cut special teams ace LaRoy Reynolds in order promote wide receiver Tony Washington from the practice squad.

Washington was a star during training camp but faded during the preseason. He will now serve as the team's fifth wide receiver.

Reynolds spent three seasons with the Jaguars as a backup linebacker and special teams ace. In 20 games, Reynolds collected 39 tackles.

Reynolds will now be subject to waivers.
