Jaguars' undrafted linebackers getting their shot

Over the last six years, the Jaguars have had 20 undrafted free agents make the 53-man roster at the start of the season, including wide receiver Allen Hurns from last year’s class.

Expect the trend to continue, especially at linebacker.

General manager Dave Caldwell elected to address other positions with his eight draft picks, but aggressively pursued undrafted linebackers.

The Jaguars signed nine rookie free agents the day after the draft and three are linebackers: Miami’s Thurston Armbrister, Pittsburgh’s Todd Thomas and Maryland’s Matt Robinson.

During last week’s rookie mini-camp, Armbrister played the middle (Mike), while Thomas lined up on the weakside (Will) and Robinson manned the strong-side spot (Otto).
