Close, but not quite there.
That was the update from Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas about his right hand before practice Wednesday, when he caught passes for the first time since being injured Aug. 14 and having surgery Sept. 1.
Thomas has not been cleared to play in Sunday’s game at Tampa Bay.
“I’m still limited,” he said. “I don’t know if [playing] is going to be an option yet.”
Thomas will be guided by the Jaguars medical team’s advice.
“I’m really going to lean on those guys and follow their plan so hopefully nothing else happens,”
he said.
