Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas left on the offense’s first series with a hand injury sustained when he landed awkwardly after a catch.
Thomas ran a route into the left flat and was hit by Pittsburgh cornerback William Gay almost immediately after making the catch for a 2-yard gain.
Thomas came out of the game and talked to the medical staff before walking to the locker room while shaking his right hand.
As of 8:37 p.m., the Jaguars had no update on Thomas’ likely x-Rays.
The Jaguars’ offense went three-and-out before going field goal-touchdown on their next two drives.
