Jaguars rookie DT Michael Bennett seeking strong finish

Rookie defensive tackle Michael Bennett is attempting to finish the regular season on a high note in the final two games.

Drafted in the sixth round out of Ohio State, Bennett has shown flashes of being a good value

“I like to prove when they put me in there, I’m reliable,’’ he said.

Since being sidelined for three games with a hamstring injury, he has been sharing one of the defensive end spots with Tyson Alualu that is usually the home for injured Sen’Derrick Marks.

In his first game back from the injury, Bennett played 12 snaps against the Titans, and his playing time increased to 27 and 33 the last two weeks against the Colts and Falcons.
