The Jaguars received high marks in the annual special teams ranking compiled by Dallas Morning News columnist Rick Gosselin.
Gosselin ranks each team in 22 kicking-game categories and assigns a point in each category based on their league ranking (one point for leading a category, two for finishing second and so on).
This year’s top five:
1. Baltimore 231
2. NY Giants 271.5
3. Jaguars 295
4. Dallas 310.5
5. Philadelphia 313
The Jaguars ranked 27th in the rankings last year.
Among the bottom five teams are this year’s NFC finalists – Arizona was 29th and Carolina 30th.
