Training camp has begun for Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles.
The quarterbacks and rookies reported to EverBank Field on Monday, as the team gets set to take the field on Thursday for its first practice.
The theme for Bortles and the offense is simple – start fast. Actually, just don’t be so horribly slow to get going as last season.
The Jaguars finished last season with 35 first-quarter points, ranking 31st in the league. Overall, the unit took a major leap forward, finishing 10th in passing and 14th in scoring. Bortles pointed out that the good things the offense did last season can be taken to a higher level with quicker starts.
