JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Jaguars running back Toby Gerhart will spend the rest of this season on the sidelines.
The veteran running back was placed on injured reserve by the team on Saturday with a lingering groin injury. Gerhart was limited to seven games this season, and when he was on the field, the veteran seemed to be hampered by the injury.
In those seven appearances, Gerhart played mostly special teams and received just 20 carries for 44 rushing yards. He added another 23 yards on three receptions.
With Gerhart's season ending, the Jaguars currently have four running backs on the roster.
