The Jaguars officially released kicker Josh Lambo today, the team announced this morning.
Yesterday, Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer stated that the team would meet to decide on roster decisions when asked about Lambo’s position with the team. He also stated that Wright would be the team’s starting kicker, noting that the 25-year-old “earned” that right following his performance on Sunday.
Lambo’s release comes just two days after Wright was able to convert all three of his field goals, including a 54-yard kick and a 53-yard game-winning field goal as time expired on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins in London.
