Jaguars offense getting few short fields from defense and special teams

The Jaguars have played six games.

They've started three possessions in opponent's territory.

There are many reasons why the team is 1-5. A lack of short fields for the offense is a reason why.

The Jaguars offense ranks 15th in the NFL in yardage, yet is 30th in points.

Some of that certainly can be traced to the offense stalling.

However, a large portion of the blame also falls on the defense and special teams. Neither unit has produced a touchdown or really provided the offense any benefit.

The Jaguars have started 44 of 70 drives at their 20-yard line or further back.
