Saturday’s scrimmage looked like more of the same for the Jaguars’ revamped offensive line — at least in the beginning.
The unit had trouble opening holes and protecting quarterback Blake Bortles for the first two series. However, the line was able to do something it rarely did during last season’s 3-13 campaign.
It recovered.
The line picked up its play and the offense then found success. Bortles threw three touchdown passes and the running game opened up.
Jaguars coach Gus Bradley labeled the line’s performance in the scrimmage as “pretty good” on Monday and mentioned there was no live tackling.
