Team rewards long snapper Tinker
The Jaguars rewarded long snapper Carson Tinker with a contract extension on Friday.
The third-year veteran will make an average of $925,000 over the next four seasons, according to a league source. Tinker was scheduled to make around $585,000 this season.
Tinker signed with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama in 2013. The 25-year-old Tinker has handled long-snapping duties in all 32 games over the last two seasons.
“I think what he represents to our players and to this organization is consistency,” Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said.
