Jaguars Notebook: Scorching heat provides a teaching opportunity for Gus Bradley

Jaguars coach Gus Bradley rarely brings up the heat.

However, he couldn’t ignore it on Tuesday.

The Jaguars were noticeably (and understandably) a step slower than usual during the first day of a mandatory three-day minicamp with temperatures reaching the high 90s. More players rested on the ground than normal during breaks and the pace of the two-hour session seemed slower than in the nine voluntary practices conducted over the last few weeks.

“We usually don’t talk about the heat at training camp, but I thought today would be a great time to talk about it with our team,” Bradley said.
