Nathaniel Hackett, the Jaguars’ quarterbacks coach and former Buffalo offensive coordinator, had a reunion Tuesday with quarterback Jeff Tuel.
The Jaguars claimed Tuel off waivers after the Bills claimed Matt Simms off waivers and cut Tuel, who’s entering his third season.
Hackett gave Tuel a warm welcome after coaching him in Buffalo for two seasons.
“I loved him,” Hackett said. “He’s an athlete. He’s smart. He’s fearless, and he’s always going to do everything right. He’s just a great young man, and he’s been out there in the fire. I think it’s always critical when you can bring in anyone with experience.
