Jaguars like QB Brandon Allen’s leadership, poise
Brandon Allen was exasperated by the time the Jaguars were picking for the second time in the sixth round of Saturday’s NFL Draft.
Ten quarterbacks had already been taken through five rounds and then two more went before the Jaguars were on the clock. Finally, they used the 201st overall pick to get the former Arkansas starter. Allen’s wait was over.
“It’s awful; it’s the worst thing ever,” Allen said of having to watch other quarterbacks be taken ahead of him. “Obviously, there’s a lot of great quarterbacks getting drafted, but anytime you see a QB get taken and you’re like, ‘Oh gosh, I want that to be me; I don’t even care what team it is.
