Jaguars Notebook: Gus Bradley says Sen'Derrick Marks has chance to play

Sen’Derrick Marks’ mission at practice Wednesday was to convince the coaches he’s ready to play Sunday against Houston for the first time since tearing an ACL in last season’s final game.

Marks said he couldn’t convince the coaches to let him go last week.

“They didn’t think I was ready to stick it into the ground,” he said.

But he seemed closer to accomplishing his goal Wednesday.

“Yes, there is a chance he could play Sunday,” coach Gus Bradley said. “I just thought I saw him strain more, and I think I see him fighting through that block a little bit and gain confidence in it, so I think it was a big step for him.
