TAMPA | Blake Bortles is still without a road win (0-9) after the Jaguars’ 38-31 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday, but he does have a four-touchdown game on his resume.
Bortles was 23-of-33 passing for 303 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. His previous high was two touchdown passes in four games (two last year and this year apiece).
Bortles’ 125.4 pass rating was also a career high, eclipsing his 102.2 mark in the Week 2 win over Miami.
“Obviously, not good enough,” he said. “It’s a team game — it’s not an offense or defense [only] type of deal so if they put up 38, we had to try and put up 39.
